Olive Public School hosted its highly anticipated Annual Sports Meet. The event that was held on 2nd August, 2024 . It was an honour to have Mr.C.Arul Chamy,Air Veteran Wing,Commander (R) as the Chief Guest and Mr.A Robin Charles, Selector for Sports Development Authority of TN as the Guest of Honour. The meet commenced with the lighting of the torch, followed by a vibrant march- past by the students of all the four houses. The events that unfolded saw students vying for top honours in races and relays. The atmosphere was electric, with cheering crowds and motivational chants fueling the competitor’s spirits. It also witnessed an impressive display of speed, strength and agility as OLIVIANS from various age groups competed in multiple track and field events.The students showcased their athletic prowess, setting new records and winning accolades. For students , Sports Day was about forging unbreakable bonds, learning valuable lessons, and embracing the spirit of sportsmanship. Olive Premier League, a primary sports day event for Olivians of KG to Grade V. The little ones participated in a variety of inter-house team sports on Cricket, Tennikoit, Basketball, Throw Ball, Basket Ball, Skating, Kabadi, Kho-Kho, and Football. The 2024 OPL Inter house competition was full of team spirit and friendship, making it the most exciting event of the year. Participating in team activities helps participants feel more confident, less stressed, and better emotionally. The Investiture Ceremony was held on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Olive Public School marking a significant milestone for the current academic year. The event honored the newly elected student council members, who were bestowed with badges of responsibility. The ceremony was graced by Lieutenant C. Akin, NCC Officer, Army Wing, Tamil Nadu Battalion who was the chief guest for the event. The school band welcomed him with a stirring performance. Lieutenant Akin addressed the newly elected leaders, urging them to embrace their leadership qualities for the betterment of their future and the world at large. His words of wisdom inspired the students to strive for excellence. The badge pinning ceremony was a poignant moment, symbolizing the transfer of responsibility and trust. The newly elected student council members then delivered their declaration speeches, promising to work tirelessly for the welfare of their fellow students.
