STUDENT COUNCIL AND CO-COUNCIL (FUTURE INITIATIVE)

The Student Council and Leadership Programme help develop strong leadership skills and provide students with a genuine voice in the functioning of the school. Members of the prestigious Student Council are selected from Years 10 and 12 (Grade 6 and Grade 7) through well-contested elections. They receive leadership training and work closely with staff and students to support various school activities and initiatives.

Events are planned carefully, and issues relating to school and student matters are discussed in a focused and constructive environment. Regular meetings are held throughout the term, and the council reports regularly to the Leadership Team regarding important matters and suggestions.

A budget is allocated to the Council, giving students additional responsibilities in planning and organization. The Student Council and Co-Council members (selected teachers) are entrusted with promoting student welfare and enrichment by organizing activities such as Sports Day, Cross Country, school dances, Back-to-School events for parents, Battle of the School Houses, Teachers’ Day Assembly, Teacher–Student Quiz, Workers’ Appreciation Day, Christmas, Diwali and Ramadan celebrations, the Blueprint Magazine, and the Yearbook.

Student Council members are elected annually by Key Stage 2 students through a voting process conducted in August each year.
